Getting started

I had this idea at the end of last year that it would be fun to actually meet some of the people that I follow on Twitter.  Out of that idea Twitterroadtrip.com was born.  I am planning on spending a couple of months, or more depending on how well this goes, to drive around the United States and meet popular/interesting people that are using Twitter.  I'm interested in people who use it for fun as well as for getting business done.

I am just getting started figuring everything out that will need to happen for this to work.  First of all, I am hoping I can get my employer to keep me on the payroll as I embark on this adventure.  I work for a national digital marketing/technology (not going to say who just yet) that is pushing heavily into the social media space.  Getting them to "sponsor" me would be great way to show how we "get it."  But I don't intend for this to be one big awareness campaign for my company.  First and foremost it is about the people I will be meeting.

So...who should I see on this road trip?  I welcome all suggestions.

Side note: I know the site is a bit "bare bones" right now.  I am just getting started as of today so please bear with me.  I know some great designers and am thinking about doing a Twitter bird, Route 66 type of logo.
