Hit the Road with Twitter Road Trip
Twitter Road Trip is a nationwide road trip who's goal is to find and interview interesting people and companies that are realizing the potential of Twitter. It was started in 2009 by Mark Simonds (@simonds) as a largely self-funded solo journey. For 2010 Mark is assembling a team of energetic social media savvy individuals to come along for the ride. The team will need help getting on the road this year, so we are looking for sponsors to donate their money, equipment and/or services.
Depending on the donation level, sponsors will get varying degrees of mentions online and at in-person events put on by Twitter Road Trip. Sponsors will also have the option of having their logo displayed on our vehicle. Of course, the bigger the sponsor, the bigger the logo. We are looking for sponsors that are a good fit for the project from a travel and/or social media perspective. Sponsors can donate a mix of equipment/service use and straight cash.
Sponsorship Levels:
Front Seat Sponsor
Donation of $10,000 in cash, equipment or services (single sponsor).
Passenger Seat Sponsor
Donation of $2,500-$5,000 in cash, equipment or services (up to 3 sponsors).
Booster Seat Sponsor
Donation of $1,000-$2,000 in cash, equipment or services (up to 5 sponsors).
Details of this year's trip are still being determined. The plan is to spend a couple of weeks on the road in one or two stages (or more) this summer. We will be hosting tweetups in the cities we visit to do interviews and meet people. Fun activities on the road and at the tweetups are in the works as well. In the meantime, check out the interviews so far.
